Tonight, we endure some of the most magnificently indulgent guitar-oriented rock from legendary axeman, Steve Vai. Well-noted for being one of the most celebrated virtuoso guitarists of all time, Steve has contributed to recordings from Frank Zappa to Whitesnake, while also blazing new sonic trails in his own illustrious solo career. But, of course, TSOM could care less about his quality work. We’re more interested in the darker corners of his catalog, of which tonight, we explore four such recordings. Join us as we foolishly bludgeon ourselves in what could only be described the most extreme acts of Vailence. It’s sure to be frustrating and difficult for you.
Voices: J. Wyrick, S. Bennett, C. Allred, and the Dirty Deacon
Intro music contains elements of M.Barnacle’s “Erase That” (used with permission), the Fat Boys, Kid Koala, Johnny Adams, Biggie Smalls coughing up something nasty, Larry and Tommy, and an interview with Steve Vai from Australia. Arranged by TSOM’s Jeff.
